Philosophy + Style
At Sweet Lime, our goal is to provide not only beautiful portrait photography but also creative and practical advice for displaying family art in your home. That's what we call Portrait Design!
Our favorite images are those that express a child's sparkling personality and convey a little bit of soulfulness. We like to capture not only the child's physical beauty, but also create something that makes you say "that is so them!" This can be hard to describe, but we know it when we see it, and you will too!
In terms of our portrait style preferences, think real and genuine--that skinned knee covered with a pirate band-aid, or that fairy dress and polka-dotted rain boots combo she loves-- those things that speak volumes about the child's personality. We don't like fussy, stiff poses, practiced smiles, perfectly combed hair or clothing that's too matchy. They don't convey authenticity. And it's how your child REALLY is that you want to remember, right?
We love simple, elegant and clean designs in our photography and graphics. In addition, we'll frequently add vintage elements and interesting textures or colors.
